Client: Bannatyne
Project: Fitness Edinburgh
Description: Air Conditioning System |
Our customer had a gym and fitness suite which was temperature controlled by equipment which was inefficient and struggling to cope with their requirements. Access for maintenance was greatly restricted and becoming an increased H&S liability.
We were contacted to provide a full condition survey and report along with recommendations of how to provide optimum cooling capacity with minimum intrusion into the space, or disruption to the members.
We proposed a duct packaged air conditioning system which would benefit from free cooling when external ambient allows, minimal intrusion into the exercise areas, and floor mounted external plant which provides easy access for maintenance.
The work was carried out through the night when the building was empty avoiding disruption to members or staff.
Our installation team arranged for the plant to be hoisted into place, installed a full supply and return air ducting system with fire and volume control dampers rising three storeys up the rear of the building to provide 79 kw of cooling with proportional fresh air input and electronically controlled ambient air free cooling facility. |
